New in version 2.0

Refined Interface
We've refined the user interface to improve ease of use and functionality.

Easer to Add New Staff
Now you can add new staff information using drag and drop of standard .vcf files from Microsoft Outlook or Apple's Address Book.

Split Shift Support
The staff file provides greater flexibility for tracking staff availability, including support for split shifts.

New Preferences
Now you can define lunch breaks for shifts over a specified number of hours. You can also define time slots that are not included in labor estimates.

Expanded Time Off Request Functionality
We've added a new Time Off Request report, making it easy to print a list of time off requests for select staff ad time periods.

On Line Documentation
Now you can refer to the Quick Start and User Guide directly from Xpress Schedule.

Universal Binary
Xpress Schedule 2.0 now runs natively on Intel based Macintosh computers.


New in version 1.2

New Copy Day Feature
Now you can easily copy an entire day's schedule, and paste it to a selected date. You can copy all shifts for the selected day, or just those for a specific department. The new Copy Day feature is available on the Schedule Detail window's Toolbar.

Improved Schedule Details Toolbar
The Schedule Details Toolbar has been revised to improve usability and ease of use. New labels help identify each of the objects on the toolbar, including the new Copy Day feature.

Enhanced Reporting
Xpress Schedule now supports multiple time slots per day per person. You can schedule work shifts, breaks, and other activities for each day of your schedule. We've also refined the layout of all schedule reports to enhance readibility and provide more information.


New in version 1.1

Enhanced user interface
We've made quite a few refinements to the interface to make it easy to understand and use. The old Schedule menu has been renamed Action. The main Schedule window has Add, Edit and Delete commands to conform to the standard design of all other windows. The Time Off Request window was refined to make it easier to use, and now allows the ability to define all day, or specified times off as requested.

New time slot creation option
You can still create time slots by dragging a slot type from the Time Slot legend. Now, you can also create time slots using the new Add button on the Staff Info palette. Just enter the desired information, and the new slot is displayed.

User defined time slots
Xpress Schedule 1.0 had 4 time slot types, and you had to live with them. Now, you can define your own time slot descriptions for 5 slots, and for time off requests.

Print graphical views of schedules
Now, while scheduling, you can print the graphical view of the schedule. Just click on the printer icon on the Schedule Details toolbar.
Interactive scheduled hours The Staff Info palette now shows how many hours each staff member has been scheduled for the current schedule. This is updated as you add, edit or delete time slots. Now, you can compare actual hours to your target hours.

New scheduling tips palette
Just getting started with Xpress Schedule, and need to know how to duplicate a time slot on your schedule? Now you can use the handy new Scheduling Tips palette to find out how to use the advanced features of Xpress Schedule.

Email delivery of schedules
Xpress Schedule v1.1 how lets you send schedules by email. Very handy for quick distribution, not only when you first release a schedule, but also for those unavoidable changes.

International dates
Select from one of 12 different date formats.

New 2 week schedule
Now you can print 1 or 2 week schedules, with or without management totals. And all reports have been refined to improve readibility and content.

Preference to only show working days
You can specify what days to include when printing shcedules. Just define these in the Preferences window.

Expanded printing options
New to Xpress Schedule v1.1 is a new print destination dialox box that allows you to generate reports to 1 of 10 different options. Just click the Change button on the Print Schedule dialox to explore these new options.

Software Update
Now you can check for updates to Xpress Schedule using our new Update feature located in the Preferences window. We wanted it to be easy for you to have the latest and greatest version of Xpress Schedule.

New User Guide
Now, Xpress Schedule comes with a full User Guide that expands on the information provided in the Quick Start Guide. Here you will learn the finer points of all the features and options you have. The user guide is installed into your Xpress Schedule folder. All you need is Adobe Reader, or the Macintosh Preview program to view this new documentation.
